Call for Proposals

The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that develops fair, accurate, and credible methods for evaluating and labeling the radiative properties of roofing and exterior wall products. The CRRC also provides education to the public on how cool roofs and cool exterior walls can help improve building performance, increase occupant comfort, mitigate the urban heat island effect, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

Our mission is to bring objective, scientific information related to cool surfaces to critical discussions and informed decisions about the impacts of heat islands, extreme heat, and energy use in the built environment.

The CRRC Annual Conference is the premier event for the cool surfaces industry. It brings together a diverse audience including manufacturers, suppliers, testing laboratories, researchers, policy makers, advocacy organizations, and municipal leaders to discuss the latest advancements in the cool surfaces arena. The three-day event includes the CRRC Member Meeting, Committee Day, and Board Meeting. CRRC Members and non-members are invited to attend.

We are seeking presentation proposals on topics ranging from cutting-edge research and innovations in cool surface technology to practical applications or case studies on cool surface deployment. Presentations must be educational and technical in nature, avoiding promotional or sales-oriented content. Speakers should have strong presentation skills and be open to fielding audience questions. All presentations will be delivered in-person on June 22nd or June 23rd. Our standard presentation session is 30 minutes total, consisting of 25 minutes of speaking followed by 5 minutes for Q & A.
