Standards of Personal Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy


The CRRC is committed to fostering a professional environment that is free of discrimination, intimidation, harassment, and otherwise inappropriate behavior. The CRRC has adopted this Code of Conduct to ensure the safety of all Program Participants, including Licensees, Members, Staff, and guest attendees of CRRC meetings and events. CRRC’s Code of Conduct applies during all CRRC functions whether in-person or virtual, any meeting or event in which Program Participants represent the CRRC, and communications related to CRRC business or with CRRC staff. Program Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner, and to act with courtesy and respect toward each other, CRRC staff, service providers, speakers, and meeting participants.

Forms of harassment that are unwelcome at the CRRC include, but are not limited to:

  • Verbal: Offensive jokes, insults, threats, yelling, spreading rumors, inappropriate comments about someone's appearance or personal life.
  • Non-verbal: Inappropriate gestures, staring, invading personal space, offensive displays.
  • Physical: Unwanted touching, pushing, hitting, or any form of physical aggression.
  • Sexual: Unwelcome advances, requests for sexual favors, sexual harassment, displaying sexually explicit material.
  • Discriminatory: Treating someone unfairly based on their race, color, national origin, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Bullying: Repeated and unreasonable behavior that intimidates, offends, or humiliates.
  • Disruptive: Talking out of turn, interrupting, making excessive noise, misusing equipment.
  • Any behavior that:
    • Has the purpose or effect of creating an intimidating, hostile or offensive environment.
    • Has the purpose or effect of interfering with an individual’s performance or ability to participate in CRRC events.

Any CRRC Program Participant who believes they have experienced or witnessed harassment or other inappropriate behavior in violation of this policy should promptly report the incident to the CRRC Executive Director or CRRC legal counsel. Retaliation against any person for either reporting an incident or cooperating in an investigation in good faith is prohibited.

The CRRC reserves the right to take any necessary and appropriate action against any Program Participant who is found to be in violation of this policy. Disciplinary actions may include, but are not limited to, prohibition from attending future CRRC meetings and events, removal from a committee appointment, expulsion from membership or rating program(s), or any other action deemed appropriate by the CRRC.
