PORTLAND, OR, USA — January 5, 2022

The Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC) is pleased to announce the release of a newly redesigned website at coolroofs.org. The redesign is the result of a year-long process aimed at improving the user experience.

In addition to a modern design, users will find the new website easier to navigate and readily accessible on mobile devices. Starting with the homepage, there are multiple paths that visitors can choose to quickly locate desired information in only one or two clicks. Information specifically tailored toward homeowners and contractors is also now more easily accessed from the homepage, as is information about the CRRC’s product rating programs and upcoming events.

Since the CRRC website plays an important role in educating the general public about the impacts of cool roofs and solar-reflective walls, the Resources section of the site — which includes general information about cool roofs and solar-reflective walls, as well as a directory of codes, standards, green building programs, and financial incentives — was revamped to include more information and educational resources.

Another significant improvement to the website is the enhanced directory of rated roofing products and a brand new directory for rated exterior wall products. Both directories are mobile-friendly to aid contractors and inspectors in the field who need to quickly pull up a CRRC product rating and are also easily accessible from the website homepage.

The website is a dynamic, living resource and the CRRC welcomes your feedback. Please feel free to contact the CRRC at [email protected] or (866) 465-2523.

The CRRC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 1998 to develop accurate and credible methods for evaluating and labeling the radiative properties of roofing products, and to disseminate the information to all interested parties. In 2019, the CRRC expanded to include the rating of exterior wall products. Please contact the CRRC at [email protected] or (866) 465-2523 for more information on its programs.
