Become Licensed with the CRRC

In order to rate products with the CRRC, you must first become licensed with the CRRC. Once a company has been approved and provided with a licensee ID number it is eligible to apply for product ratings.

The CRRC has two types of product rating licensees:

  • A Licensed Seller (LS) - a company that sells a finished product to market under their own brand name.
  • A Licensed Other Manufacturer (OM) - a company that sells a finished product or product component to an LS, who then sells the product to market. For example, if you private label a product for another company or make a factory-applied coating, you would be an OM.

Companies that sell directly to market and to another LS must become both an LS and an OM (but they only need to pay the higher of the two associated licensing fees).

Note: CRRC Licensees are distinct from CRRC Members.  A CRRC Member does not have any affiliation with the CRRC Product Rating Program, and therefore cannot rate products with the CRRC.  A CRRC Licensee does not have the right to use the Member logo, attend CRRC Membership meetings, vote on CRRC issues, or to run for a position on the Board of Directors.

Upon licensee approval, you will automatically be subscribed to the CRRC newsletter. If you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, you may safely unsubscribe.

LICENSING INFORMATION FOR PRIVATE LABEL SELLERS AND MANUFACTURERS

Do you private label products for one or many roofing product sellers and want to rate your formula so other companies can rely on your test results?

In order for other companies to rate products that your company private labels, your company must become licensed as an Other Manufacturer.   If your company is already a Licensed Seller with the CRRC, you will still need to apply as an OM, but you will only need to pay the higher of the two licensing fees.

NOTE, the Online Portal will be available for use beginning January 2018. Currently, there is a hold on application submissions.

Please visit our Product Rating page to learn more about rating private-label products.

Do you sell private-labeled roofing products and want to rate your products?

As long as the manufacturing company has become licensed with the CRRC as an Other Manufacturer, you can rate your privately-labeled product; however, you must first also become licensed with the CRRC as a Licensed Seller.  Please see the above section ("How do I Become a Licensed Seller?").

Please visit our Product Rating page to learn more about rating private label products.
